You can build this in the glass. Chill a flute or coupe glass. Add the Elderflower liqueur and Genepi first. Top with Champagne and garnish with the flower.

Typically, a Kir Royale ends up too sweet for me in most brunch bars - the Creme de Cassis is added in such copious amounts as to overwhelm the acidity in the Champagne. Something that should be light violet is royal purple.
