Place in a jar and let infuse for one week. Fine strain (cheesecloth too if you like), add the simple, and bottle. This is shelf stable, but you want it cold when you drink it. Drizzle a little on your vanilla. 

I like it in a highball (rocks glass works great too if you're into it) use about 3 oz, add soda and enjoy. If you want more of a cocktail feel, some 3 oz Italian red bitter soda is nice.

And no, the name was never going to be Strawberry Fields - I despise the Beatles.
